Me and my friends started our Scandinavia tour in Helsinki, Finland. From there we took the cruise ship to Stockholm. The ship is widely known among young people as the ‘party ship’. We booked our trip for Friday and the ship was, as expected, filled with young people. The cruise was a lot of fun and after the whole night of partying when we arrived in Stockholm we were so exhausted that we went straight to our hotel to take a power nap. Fortunately there are many budget price hotels in Stockholm to choose from located conveniently right in the centre. The location of our hotel was perfect – close to shopping and clubs.

After a day and night of partying we decided to set aside a day to some sight-seeing and shopping. Stockholm is an old city with beautiful buildings, like the castle of the king of Sweden. The city is divided into two parts, Old and New City and both sides have their own attractions so choose the location of your hotel in Stockholm depending what it is you want to do.

However, it does not matter where you are in the city, what will catch your eye is the way the Swedish people dress. Stockholm is without a doubt the trendiest city in Scandinavia and you can not help but admire the styles of the people on the streets. This will make you want to blend in and try out the trendy outfits as well so make sure to set aside some Swedish crowns for shopping. Maybe you can spend the extra money you saved when booking your Stockholm hotel on some clothes of the famous Swedish brand H&M.

Stockholm is the place to go to as a part of your Scandinavia tour. This city is made for young, active people and the city is filled with activities throughout the year. So just take your mates and hop into a plane or a cruise ship and navigate your way to this beautiful city!
