Paradise isn't where you travel - it's how you travel.
Are you curious of everything and always ready to discover a lot of exciting things? Me too and that is why I have really liked Dublin when I went there last year to visit a friend. I stayed only a couple of days but it was enough to get a really good impression. So, you want to spend some days in Dublin as I did, you will need to find an hotel accomodation Dublin offers so many possibilities that it will be easy to find.
After having putting down my luggage and eating a little dinner, it was time for me to go out and to have a funny Irish night. Dublin can offer you all the places you need to have an unforgettable and vibrant night.
As my friend advised me I went off by the trail routes, we did not go to the famous “Temple Bar” but to the “Church Bar” which is an amazing place.
As its name says, the place looks like a church but when I went through the entrance door I was very surprised as: the ground floor was converted into one large room with a very long tap-room in the middle. It creates a very convivial atmosphere.
Then after having a drink, you can either have a diner in the first floor (with a nice view of the tap-room above) or go to the night club downstairs. We chose the second option and we really had a fantastic night.
The day after, very hungry, I wanted to try the big, hearty and typical Irish breakfast. You are not obliged to go in a bar or a pub to have it, sometimes some Dublin hotels includes it in the price of the night.
Normally conceived to resist to a busy and active day, this breakfast is very nourishing.
If you opt for the “full option” breakfast you will have in your plate not less than 10 elements!! Eggs, mushrooms, potatoes, puddings and sausages are some of the commons elements of this Irish breakfast. Do not forget a strong Irish Breakfast tea with fresh!
I can assure you that with such a breakfast, you do not need to eat until the next day and you can visit all the monuments of the city without feeling weak or hungry!!
After this delicious experience, I wanted to get some fresh air and to walk across the city to discover all its monuments and its beautiful places. I went to the St Patrick cathedral, an astonishing place named after Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. I also went for a stroll in magnificent parks like St Stephen's Green.
There many other things to see in Dublin but unfortunately I did not have enough time.
At least, I have seen the famous Spire of Dublin, a large monument of 398 ft high located on O'Connell Street that is to say in the center of the city. It is the typical meeting point of all people. It was exactly where was waiting for my friend to go shopping.
Unfortunately, after this short but intense stay, it was time for me to leave my friend and my hotel in Dublin but I promised that I will come back as soon as possible!
